Regenerative Farm Operations Lead / Farm Manager

Help build the operating system of a regenerative farm in rural Hungary.

Remény Farm is a regenerative farm in rural Hungary, built around one simple belief: farming can heal land, feed people well, and create a life worth living.

We raise animals on pasture, produce clean food, and work every day to build a farm that is more than organic. We are still small enough for every person to matter, but complex enough that we now need someone who can help turn potential into a real operating system.

There is a lot of unused potential here: land, animals, people, customers, ideas, infrastructure, and a growing community around the farm. We are looking for someone who can see that potential and help us organize it into something stronger, calmer, and more productive.

This is not a desk-only management role.

You will need to understand people, animals, systems, numbers, quality, logistics, and sometimes mud. Some days you will be planning priorities, improving workflows, coordinating the team, checking stock or quality, and following up on KPIs. Other days you may need to put on boots and help solve a practical problem in the field.

What you would help with

  • Daily coordination of farm operations
  • Turning goals into weekly and daily priorities
  • Connecting field work, animal care, processing, logistics, sales, and administration
  • Building simple, clear systems for stock, quality, task follow-up, and accountability
  • Supporting and mentoring the team
  • Improving workflows and reducing waste
  • Helping us make better use of the farm's production potential
  • Managing and improving pasture-based livestock systems
  • Bringing structure without killing the life and soul of the farm

Who we are looking for

  • You have real experience leading people, teams, or complex operations
  • Farm, ranch, or livestock management experience is a must-have
  • Experience with pasture-raised animals is especially valuable
  • It is a big plus if you have managed larger grazing systems, ranches, or herds/flocks of several hundred animals
  • Experience with cattle, sheep, poultry, pigs, rotational grazing, holistic management, or regenerative livestock systems is highly relevant
  • You think in systems, but you are practical enough to fix real problems
  • You are calm, clear, responsible, and consistent
  • You can communicate directly and respectfully
  • You are not afraid of physical work when needed
  • You care about soil, animals, food, and long-term impact
  • You want ownership, not just a job description

Language

You don't need to speak Hungarian.

A working, intermediate level of English is enough. What matters most is that we can understand each other clearly, coordinate daily work, and build trust with the team.

What we offer

  • A full-time, long-term role on a mission-driven regenerative farm
  • Real responsibility and room to shape how the farm works
  • A practical, ambitious project with unused potential
  • A team that cares about clean food, animals, land, and honest work
  • Negotiable salary, with the possibility of growth as the farm's performance improves
  • For the right person, we are open to handing over the leadership of a specific farm enterprise within Remény Farm
  • We are also open to profit sharing when there is a strong fit, clear responsibility, and measurable results
  • A place where your work can have visible impact on soil, biodiversity, animals, people, and the local community

This role is for someone who sees a farm not only as a workplace, but as a living system.

If you have spent years learning how land, animals, people, and production fit together - and you are ready to help build something real - we would love to hear from you.
